Privacy
Short version: if you join the list, we keep your email address so we can send you one must-do a week. Nothing else, no tracking, and you can leave any time.
Who we are
Must Do Iceland is run by Formáli ehf. (kt. 670820-1140), Hafnarstræti 6, 400 Ísafjörður, Iceland. Contact: info@mustdoiceland.com.
What we store when you join the list
- Your email address.
- The date and time you signed up, and which page you signed up on.
- The country your connection came from, as reported by our host. We use it only to see roughly where interest comes from.
We use this only to send the weekly must-do and news about Must Do Iceland. We never sell it or give it to anyone else to market to you.
Group boards
If you start or use a group board, we keep the board itself: the must-dos on it, the hearts, a random code for each voter, and any first name someone types in so the group can see who voted. Anyone with the board's link can see and change it. A board is deleted 180 days after its last change. Don't type anything into a board you wouldn't want your group to see.
What stays on your phone
Your saved list, your board voter code, the name you typed and a note that you joined the list (so next week's drop stays unlocked) are kept in your browser's storage on your device, not with us. Clearing your browser data removes them. Posters and calendar files are made on your phone and never uploaded.
Where it is kept
On Cloudflare, which hosts this site and stores the list for us. When we start sending emails, we will use an email service that processes your address on our behalf, under a data processing agreement.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or until we stop the newsletter, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing info@mustdoiceland.com. Every email we send will also have a link to leave the list. If you think we are handling your data wrongly, you can complain to Persónuvernd, the Icelandic data protection authority (personuvernd.is).
Cookies and tracking
This page sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
